PIAA INFORMATION
In addition to the PIAA membership requirements outlined below, officials are encouraged to maintain familiarity with the information on the PIAA policies, background checks, and uniform pages of our website.

ANNUAL MEETING ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENT
In accordance with PIAA policy, all active LVSOA/PIAA officials MUST attend a minimum of SEVEN (7) LVSOA/PIAA meetings during the school year.

(1) - Mandatory Rules Interpretation Meeting (LVSOA/PIAA, another chapter, or the PIAA Convention)

(6) - LVSOA/PIAA Chapter Meetings

May substitute 3 meetings at another PIAA chapter

May attend up to 2 meetings that are conducted during preseason (before the first day of the regular season)

Chapter Social events (e. g., preseason cookout, postseason banquet) do not count

PIAA Convention attendance does not count

Members who fail to comply with this requirement risk being suspended by PIAA for one (1) year.
Members who wish to attend a meeting at another PIAA chapter to satisfy attendance requirements should go to the Rules Interpretation Schedule page on the PIAA website (click on the link for the Soccer meeting schedule).
A list of chapters and their chapter contacts is provided. Members can obtain meeting schedules for other chapters through the chapter contacts on this list.

INACTIVE STATUS
An official who cannot meet the active membership requirements may declare inactive status with PIAA. The official will complete and submit the Inactive Status Form to become inactive for one year. An inactive official:

...must continue to pay PIAA dues.

...is not obligated to attend the Mandatory Rules Interpretation Meeting or any chapter meetings.

...may not officiate any PIAA contests.
At the end of the one-year period, the official automatically returns to active status and is required to meet all PIAA active membership requirements. If the official wishes to remain inactive for a second year, the official must file a new Inactive Status form for the second year.
